The M.U.S.E. Band program will be offering Band classes for St. Philip Neri students this year at St. Joseph’s on our Wednesdays early dismissal day. This would give you time to bring your child to band class which will start at 3:10. By consolidating the two schools, we are hoping to make the band experience more fun for the students by having more students participating. We would start the second week of September. Classe for beginners would be from 3:10-4:00 and for Intermediate students 4:00-4:50.
The M.U.S.E. Instrumental Programs is currently open for registration for new and returning students for the fall start up. The program is offered to grades 4-8 and meets once a week after school. Students can choose from the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion (Xylophone and Snare drum). This is a great opportunity for students to learn an instrument in a group setting with their friends and classmates. M.U.S.E. organizes fun performance opportunities throughout the year including marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in San Francisco and an end of the year performance at Great America Amusement Park
The M.U.S.E. instrumental program provides students of elementary and middle school ages the opportunity to learn an instrument in a group setting. We offer classes in Band, and in some schools Piano, and Guitar/Ukulele. You’ll find us in Portland, the Bay Area, and Los Angeles. We feel learning an instrument is complimentary to a child’s academic studies including discipline, time management, teamwork, organizational skills, and perseverance and commitment. Our teachers are committed to making music lessons fun in a supportive and nurturing environment.
