We are excited to announce that the M.U.S.E. Instrumental Band will be offering after school Instrumental Band classes for grades 4-8 at St. Leo the Great. No previous experience needed. Classes will be once a week on Tuesdays from 3:25-4:15. We will have an “Open House” on Tuesday, Oct 4th if you would like to meet the instructor Lisa Marie Baratta and get more information. Classes will start Tuesday, October 11th.
M.U.S.E. offers instruction in Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion (Xylophone and Snare drum). This is a great way for students to learn an instrument and be in a group setting with friends and classmates. M.U.S.E. offers fun performance opportunities that include marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in San Francisco. Last year the M.U.S.E. Band students won 1st place and received medals for their performance.
The M.U.S.E. Website has lots of information including cost, schedule, instrument rental, information on how to choose an instrument, and much more. If you can’t find what you need, don’t hesitate to email or call. Class sizes are limited so if you are interested, we encourage parents to sign up as soon as possible to ensure a space for your child. Registration is now open through their website.
The M.U.S.E. instrumental program provides students of elementary and middle school ages the opportunity to learn an instrument in a group setting. We offer classes in Band, and in some schools Piano, and Guitar/Ukulele. You’ll find us in Portland, the Bay Area, and Los Angeles. We feel learning an instrument is complimentary to a child’s academic studies including discipline, time management, teamwork, organizational skills, and perseverance and commitment. Our teachers are committed to making music lessons fun in a supportive and nurturing environment.
