Due to the districts most recent policy for facility use if any classes go beyond 4:00pm (it was 4:30 last year) all after school programs must pay for a monitor at the rate of $30 an hour with a 2-hour minimum each day. The only way we can continue to offer our program in the Beaverton District is to add a $15 per month Facility Use Fee. We apologize for this but it is completely out of our control. We cannot afford to pay teachers, pay Beaverton Schools’ rent fees, pay for liability insurance, and now have an additional charge for monitor without making some adjustments to our fees. We are trying hard to keep music alive in the schools and to bring a consistent quality program to our Beaverton District families. We hope you understand and will continue with us as we try to work through these issues.
Open House for Beginning Band Students and Parents
Teachers will have an Open House for beginning band students and parents on the first scheduled day of class, which is the first week of October. Come meet the instructor who can answer questions and help direct you in any way to make it a smooth start-up right after school. Please ask the school staff for the location of the classroom where this will be held.
