PLEASE DOWNLOAD PERMISSION FORM, SIGN, AND HAVE YOUR CHILD GIVE THIS TO THE DRIVER THAT DAY. THIS IS IMPORTANT SO DON’T FORGET TO DO THIS.

• The parade starts at 1:00 We are #21 in the formation line meaning we probably won’t turn on to the parade route to march until about 1:45
• Students carpool over to Normandale park (we need parents to help drive students to the event). We have been told to meet up at the park between 11:45-12:00. Teachers will be at the park to greet the students and show them where to go. We leave schools around 11:15 on west side and 11:30 on east side.
• Students bring a sack lunch and we stay in the park for about 30 minutes and eat. 
• Kids should wear their t-shirts.  T-shirts can be ordered on the M.U.S.E. Site. T-shirt Link.
• T-shirt deadline is Friday, May 9 in order for us to order the shirts and have them delivered to kids at school on time. 
• At around 12:30 we proceed to walk through the neighborhoods leading to the starting point. This is a slow process. At 1:00 we usually get to our position in line and wait until the line moves and we are funneled into the parade route on Sandy Blvd. We might not get to that point until 1:45. It’s a game of patience. 
• Once on the parade route we march down Sandy Blvd. all the way down to Grant High school (a Little over a mile)
• Parent volunteers can walk along with us and help. Other parents choose to find a spot more toward the end of the parade route where the cars will be. More details about this later. 

This just gives you an idea of how the day goes. 

Parent Check List (Important Info )

1. Fill out M.U.S.E. permission Slip and have your child give it to whomever is driving them. If you are driving your own child, you still need to sign the form. 
2. For those students who are being driven by another parent, Please let us and the school know WHO is driving your child and that it is ok for them to take you child. Check with your school about what you need to do in order for your child to leave school that day. 
3. Read (print off ) Drivers Instructions if you are driving students other than yours or just driving your child only. You will need to know where to drop them off (they will be supervised) and where to go to park towards the end of the parade route. 
4. If you are driving , print off a Bus Pass

Music: Students need to memorize one song

• Beginners will play “Lets Go Band”
• Intermediate/Adv. students will play “Joe Avery’s Blues” in Book

T-Shirts: Wear MUSE t-shirt as our uniform.
