Want to be a part of a team of educators and professional musicians that offers young students (grades 4-8) the opportunity to play Guitar at their school and be part of a group. Not only do we provide the curriculum and teacher support, we also organize fun performance opportunities for the students.

About M.U.S.E

M.U.S.E (Musical Understanding thru Sound Education) is an organization that has been offering musical instruction in the San Francisco bay area, Portland and Eugene Oregon for over 35 years. We offer group instrumental classes for beginners and intermediate levels. Classes are conducted after school on campus

Qualifications  and Position Responsibilities

  • Important to have classroom management skills working with groups of students ages 9-13 (Average class size 6-12 students).
  • Applicants need to have experience teaching in a group setting.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Passion for teaching and working with young students is a must as well as being able to communicate well with parents and administrators. 
  • Implement curriculum supplied by M.U.S.E. and student practice incentives, provide students with M.U.S.E. educational resources online, preparing students for performance events throughout the year.

Positions can range from 1-3 afternoons a week (after school hours). Great part time job especially for performing artists.

Pay: $48-62 an hour depending on number of student enrolled.
